What to Consider when Choosing the Wedding Venue

When planning your wedding it is important to choose and decide on the right venue. The correct venue will either make the reception a success or a failure. The guest list is the main to take into account the guest list. The numbers will determine the venue. The capacity limit you decide on is based on whether the room will be full, which in turn creates a dynamic atmosphere.

Unusual venues can range from a steam train to an aquarium; the ideas are endless. A smart restaurant is also a great idea, which will usually include the crater aspect of the reception. These venues will certainly limit the number of quests.

Often times Sunday wedding venues are offered lower rates, which will make it more affordable. This will also improve the chase of your guests being able to attend as they will not need to take time-off from work.

Ideal venues for a large number of guests are a reception centre, your local village hall, outdoors or a dry hire venue.  The “dry hire” venue is basically a building shell, which would need to be decorated from scratch.  In this way, you will be free to decorate to your personal taste and theme.

An important tip to consider when choosing the ideal wedding reception venue is: Do not book a venue which has a capacity to cater for 400 to 500 guests if the list is only for 100 guests. The room will look empty and awkward with too many open spaces.
